These silver footed bowls, formally called compotes, are popping up in so many interesting places. Used to serve bowls of whipped cream or strawberries at Carette Paris and for potato chips at places like Bar Pisellino New York.

This one is vintage sterling silver from the Art Deco Period.

How would we style it?

Brunch or Dessert: Next to a silver coffee or chocolate pot full of whipped cream.

Cocktail Hour: Piled high with hand made potato chips or nuts on a silver tray next to your favorite cocktail (Aperol Spritz, Martini or Lillet).

On your console, bookcase or dresser, holding any of your precious treasures.
