Return Process
We hope you are happy with your purchase!
If you wish to return an item, please email us within 3 days of receipt of the item and include "Return Request" in the Subject Line of your email in order to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). We will provide you with information to help you with your return. Because of the value of the item and the delicate nature of jewelry in general, please don’t send the item back prior to receiving the return guidelines. We regret that we cannot accept a return that has not been made through the Sugar et Cie secure return guidelines process, within the required timeline. The return instructions are simple. They guide you through how to repack the item to ensure that your item is protected, tracked, insured, and returned safely. Please note that all duties, taxes and associated fees are not included and must be paid by the purchaser and cannot be refunded (with the exception of California Sales Tax which we collect and will be refunded).
Please note: if an item has been customized (either by you or by us) or if it is a special order, it cannot be returned.
Upon receipt of our email, you’ll have 2 additional days to drop the item at a designated FedEx location (it cannot be an unmanned drop box). We can also arrange to have FedEx make a pick-up at your location. We cannot accept any item for return that been changed, damaged, or modified in any way. Rings that have been sized are not returnable. Items that are special orders, customized for you by Sugar et Cie or a third party are not eligible for return. A refund will be provided for items that are received in their original condition, packaged as shipped, and within the time frame detailed above. We will issue a refund within 48 hours of its receipt. The time it takes for the refund to post to your account is dependent upon your financial institution’s processing and posting time frames.
Shipping Fees
If you do decide to return an item, shipping fees and any duty fees or taxes, other than U.S. sales tax are not refundable. We will, of course refund the shipping charges if an error has been made (e.g. you received the wrong item). We offer FedEx Ground and FedEx 2 Day shipping rates within the U.S. at a discounted flat rate, as a promotional benefit to our customers. Return rates are not subsidized and are at the shipper's published list rates.
