A beautiful antique sterling silver bangle bracelet with a buckle design and orb embellishment. It is hand-engraved with a foliage decoration on the front-half and unadorned on the other half. It is a hinged bangle with a push-in, tongue and groove closure, which fits securely. The buckle motif was popular in the later-half of the Victorian period, symbolizing love, loyalty or friendship and carried forward into the Edwardian period. These buckle bangle bracelets are becoming more difficult to find. Find two or three antique silver bracelets you love and wear them one at a time or all stacked together.
