How to Order/Payment

We accept the following forms of payment: Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal. Purchase outside of the U.S. we will only accept payments via PayPal. If you prefer not to order via the secure online shopping cart, you are welcome to call us at 650.397.5442 to place your order or fill out our Contact Form and we will contact you. Please don't include your credit card information in email correspondence. Be sure to include your phone number so that we may call you to complete the transaction. Our credit card processing guidelines require us to ship items to the billing address provided.

Once an order has been placed, it cannot be canceled. For returns, please see the information provided below. Sales are pending until you receive notice from us from that the transaction is complete. On average it takes one business day (on occasion it may take two) for an order to process and shipped.

Do you need your item for a specific event or by a particular date? Please let us know and we will do our best to expedite your order. You can also select the expedited shipping option (please see the shipping calculation for the related fees).

Sales Tax California 

We are required to charge sales tax on all orders shipped to/within California.

International Taxes & Duties

Taxes and duties are not included in the purchase price or shipping quote. Taxes and duties may vary by country and locality, so please check your country's customs website to determine any additional fees that may apply.

Purchase with Confidence

We take security very seriously and want you to be 100% comfortable in making your purchase. Our site employs 256-bit encryption, 2048-bit root security.

We want you to be happy with your purchase and offer a 3 day return policy (3 days to notify us of a return and another 2 days to send the item out). If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, feel free to return your item via the Sugar et Cie return process (see our Return Policy for details including guidelines and assistance).


All of our items are carefully packed to ensure a safe delivery. We strive to provide you with a beautiful presentation, whether it is a gift to yourself or someone else. Each item comes beautifully boxed in our signature colors.

Packing and Shipping

We ship primarily via FedEx. When your item is ready to ship, we will send you an shipping confirmation email including a tracking number. We are dedicated to ensuring that your piece of jewelry reaches you safely and securely. Because these are valuable items, a signature is required upon delivery. If you are unable to sign for the package, FedEx will make three attempts and then hold the package at their offices for up to 3 days, after the last attempt. If it is sent back, shipping charges cannot be refunded. Orders placed Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

While it is our expectation and desire that your item is received without issue or damage, please take the following actions if your package looks like it has been damaged upon arrival. Inform the FedEx representative prior to signing and accepting the package. You must also notify us upon receipt of your package if the outside appears to be damaged or if you find there to be an issue with your item. We cannot be responsible for any item where notification has not promptly been made.

We ship primarily within the US. We will also ship internationally, but please contact us prior to purchasing to see if is possible to ship an item to you, based upon insurance requirements and import rules and regulations. We are happy to provide you with a shipping quote upon request.

Ring Sizing

All Ring sizes are provided in the "Dimensions & Details" section that is part of each product description. We let you know in each case whether a ring can be sized successfully by a skilled jeweler (usually up or down 1 1/2 sizes). Sizing is most successful (near invisible) when there is not a pattern on or an unusual shape to the shank (the band portion of the ring). Please see our Ring Sizing Guide, for more information.

Love an Item, but It Already Sold!

While the items on our site are unique, if you see something that is now sold and would like something similar, please contact us and let us know. An email with as much information as you can provide is helpful. We will let you know if we have something similar in our inventory or if we think we can find something similar in the near future. With regard to our modern pieces, these are primarily unique as well. However, we may be able to custom make something of a similar nature, but it will not be exactly the same.
