SKU: #CA162

This Georgian paste buckle has large sparkling stones and is paired with a custom alligator skin cuff in a vivid raspberry pink glaze.

The buckle is antique, dating to the Georgian period. Its pastes are set in silver and the buckle findings (tines, pin, chape, and spikes) are made from steel, a stronger metal, as was typical during the period. This particular buckle has a floral theme with a large flower on each side. The craftsmanship on this buckle is exceptional. Each of the stones is unique and hand shaped. The pastes have the characteristic black dots, often found at the base of the stones from this period. Georgian paste buckles with stones of this size and in this condition, are difficult to find. The cuff is a one-of-a-kind, custom made piece (see Dimensions & Details below for more information on dimensions and fit).

  • The cuff is new. The paste buckle is in good condition to very good antique condition. The paste stones have some surface scratches abrasions and minor chips that are only noticeable with magnification. The stones are still quite bright and some give off an attractive bronze glint as you tilt them in the light. In general, the piece has minor signs of wear/age as one would expect from a well preserved antique piece.
