Antique: 18 Kt Gold Gloved Hand Clasp, Watch Chain/Long Chain Necklace

This stunning gold chain is one of those pieces that only come around once in a while. Where to start? The gloved hand of course!

Usually on the "Must Have" list for those who covet wearable, one-of-a-kind antique statement pieces, the cuff on the glove is elaborate and beautiful. Possibly better yet, is the fact that is grasping a floral wreath.

All in a buttery yellow 18 Kt gold, the chain is long and sleek in a stylized box link that I have never seen before. Clearly hand made!

Dimensions & Details:

• The length of the chain is approximately 130 cm or 51 inches. It can be worn long or worn doubled. The drop (from the top of the cuff o the end of the swivel clip) adds another 2 inches to the length.
• The metal is 18 kt gold (tested).

• Purchased in France. Thought to be French.

• Late 19th c.
• Not marked.

• The chain is in good antique condition with surface scratching (visible only with magnification) and general wear that one would expect to see on a piece of this age. Minor, quality restoration type repairs to a few of the links.
